Ambrotype include a sixth plate of a man, housed in a cracked and separated geometric/scroll Union case; sixth plate of a woman, housed in a pressed-paper case; sixth plate of a boy, housed in a pressed-paper case; and a ninth plate of a gentleman, housed in a leather portfolio-style case. House, Elmira, NY; oval ninth plate of a young woman, housed in an oval geometric/scroll Union case; CDV-sized tintype of a boy wearing a large bow, uncased; and a CDV-sized tintype of five young women, housed in a paper sleeve dated August 10, 1889 at Buffalo, NY, and identifying all five women. Condition: The items range in condition from very good to fair. The daguerreotypes in the mother-of-pearl case separated from the case and have some darkening and surface damage. Some of the lacquer of the ambrotypes is flaking. However, many of the images are sharp and have excellent clarity. Refer to zoom images.
