(Some occasional pale spotting.) Contemporary calf, spine gilt (some wear at extremities). Provenance : Académie de Chirurgie, Paris (ink stamp on title, cancelled); Ira M. Rutkow (pencil signature on rear flyleaf); from the collection of Dean Edell. FIRST EDITION OF "THE FIRST BOOK DEVOTED ENTIRELY TO SURGICAL ANATOMY", to which was appended a brief treatise on the circulation of the blood, of which Genga was a relatively early advocate in Italy. Garrison-Morton 384 (giving A. Ercole as the printer); Heirs of Hippocrates 337 (later edition); NLM/Krivatsy 4650 (lacking the title).
