FINE COPY of Ashley-Cooper's second separately-published work, with portraits and brief biographical notes on all 13 players, and full scores of the five Tests plus the return against New South Wales, "a match of records". England won only the first Test, aided by Ranji's 175, and Ashley-Cooper had no hesitation in pointing out the weakness of the bowling attack, only one bowler, Richardson, being in the top nine averages. "At the present time Australia possesses a great number of young first-class players, and it is no exaggeration to state that the country down-under has never been able to place a more formidable eleven into the field".
