Collection of leaves from manuscripts, on vellum [twelfth to fifteenth century] 17 leaves, including: (a) a parcel of 10 leaves mostly from the collection of Otto F. Ege and all in his card mounts: (i) leaf from Chronicles glossed (35:24-36:14), 245mm. by 160mm., from the Benedictine abbey of St-Claude d'Oyen, Jura, and no.56 in their library catalogue of 1492, France, twelfth century; (ii) leaf from a Psalm-commentary, 210mm. by 150mm., contemporary foliation "clxxxvii", probably France, late twelfth century; (iii) leaf from a Bible (Esther 2:21-7:2), 195mm. by 140mm., northern France, thirteenth century; (iv) Beatus leaf from a Bible (Job 38:23-opening of Psalms, 192mm. by 127mm., northern France, thirteenth century; (v) leaf from a Petrus Riga, Aurora, 235mm. by 115mm., probably England, thirteenth century; (vi) leaf from a Bible (Lamentations 1:14-3:56), 160mm. by 112mm., Rhineland or eastern France, thirteenth century; (vii) leaf from a Bible (I John 1:8-3:7), 180mm. by 130mm., northern France, fourteenth century; (viii) fragment of a leaf from Isidore, Etymologies, with illuminated initial 'A' enclosing a bird and perhaps a horse, 205mm. by 280mm., probably Spanish, c.1400; (ix) leaf from a saint's legend, 305mm. by 228mm., France, fifteenth century; (x) leaf from a humanistic Terence, Comodiae, 250mm. by 178mm., Florence, c.1460, copied by Julianus Antonio de Prato (cf. A.C. de la Mare in 'Interpreting and Collecting Fragments', ed. Brownrigg and Smith, 2000, p.57,); all in excellent condition; plus (b) five other leaves, including a large fragment of a leaf from an Anglo-French Missal of c.1100, recovered from a binding, 300mm. by 240mm.; a leaf from an illuminated French thirteenth-century Psalter with drollery creatures with human faces with beards, 125mm. by 85mm.; and (c) two papal bulls, one of Clement IV and another of Pius VI
