According to Wise, only a few of the thirty-six copies were distributed and most destroyed: “I suppose this must be the most hopelessly unobtainable book in the whole series of Byroniana, surpassing in rarity even Lord Broughton’s ‘Contemporary Account of the Separation of Lord and Lady Byron’, privately printed in 1870, and the first edition of Lady Byron’s ‘Remarks’”.
