Some light shelfwear to jacket and corners, the chapter on Mrs. Wrightsman's Palm Beach home marked with a blue tab, with Jayne Wrightsman's bookplate pasted to endpaper ; KISLUK-GROSHEIDE, DANIELLE and MUNGER, JEFFREY. The Wrightsman Galleries for French Decorative Arts. The Metropolitan Museum of Art. New York and New Haven: The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Yale University Press, 2010. Publisher's black cloth, printed paper prosepectus wrapped around rear board. Light soiling to paper prospectus ; Three softcover Chanel books, housed in a repurposed Chanel box. Two with minor wear, the box with two bumped spots and a soiled corner, with a loss to pasted down Chanel flower decoration ; Printed facsimile of a drawing by Jacques-Louis David , a study for his 1787 masterpiece "The Death of Soctrates," from the Met Museum's collection. Pasted to black board with a sheet of protective tissue paper covering the print. Sheet measures 10 1/4 x 14 1/4 inches (26 x 36.5 cm); Two issues of the Metropolitan Museum of Art Bulletin pertaining to paintings by Francois Gerard and Charles Le Brun both works donated to the museum by Mrs. Wrightsman. Publisher's wrappers, both issues housed, along with the facsimile print, in a Met Museum mailer addressed to Mrs. Wrightsman's Fifth Avenue apartment. Light to moderate wear to wrappers and mailer, one issue with a piece of tissue paper taped to upper cover. The lot sold as is . The lot consists of eleven books, a box, a mailer and a print.
