The original contractual letters by Picasso, Satie and Cocteau, addressed to Diaghilev, for the ballet Parade, comprising an autograph letter signed by Pablo Picasso confirming their verbal agreement ("...Confirmant notre accord verbal je accepte de me charger de la mise en scène (decorer le rideaux costumes at accesoires) du ballet 'parade' de Jean Cocteau et Erik Satie...") and agreeing that he will make all the necessary models and supervise the work, for a fee of 5000 francs, the work to be ready by 15 March 1917, 2 pages, 8vo, Montrouge, Seine, 11 January 1917; the second an autograph letter signed by Jean Cocteau also signed by Erik Satie, also agreeing ("...Nous confirmons par la présente notre accord verbal par lequel vous acceptez de monter notre oeuvre:'. je vous réserve le droit exclusif de monter ce ballet dans tous pays pendant trois ans comptant à partir de la Première.
