Arabic manuscript on paper, 349 leaves, 13 lines to the page, written in more than one hand, first, seventh and thirteenth lines on each page written in alternating muhaqqaq and rayhani scripts in blue, green and gold, remaining text written in smaller naskhi script in black ink with diacritics and vowel points in red and black, illuminated rosettes and roundels decorated with orange and blue dots between verses, remargined throughout with inner margins ruled in blue, orange and gold, sura headings written in thuluth script in white within illuminated rectangular panels, illuminated frontispiece and finispiece in colours and gold, waterstaining, some repairs, rather browned, later brown leather with central medallions, cusps and cornerpieces richly decorated with intertwining stylised floral sprays and serrated leaves, worn 330 x 230 mm., text area 158 x 82 mm.
