AN ARCHAIC BRONZE RITUAL WINE VESSEL, GU LATE SHANG DYNASTY, 12TH-11TH CENTURY BC The slender gu has a plain trumpet-shaped neck, the central and lower sections are cast with taotie masks reserved on a leiwen ground, the masks in the center section divided by narrow flanges.
