A long Russian gold chain in the form of oval major joints with double, minor c-shaped joints in between, 14k reddish-gold lock and 18k yellowish-gold chain. Alexander Karpovich Karpov in St. Petersburg 1898–1908, assayer Jacob Liapunov in St. Petersburg 1896–1903, 56 standard. Weight c. 98.5 g. L. 163 cm. Provenance: Part of a large Russian jewellery collection, which was deposited by a Russian lady in 1918 in Stockholm Enskilda Bank's head office (today Scandinavian Enskilda Banken, SEB). The Russian lady was escaping the Russian Revolution, but she never returned to SEB. In 2016–98 years after the deposit - the bank had not yet found the owner or her heirs. Therefore, in 2017, SEB decided to register and evaluate the jewellery. In 2018, the bank sold the jewellery privately and deposits the sales sum into an account.
