'Ala al-Din Ahmad b. Muhammad al-Qushi (d.AH 879/1474 AD): Sharh Tajrid al-Aqa'id Safavid Persia, Dhu'l-Qa'ada AH 944/April 1538 AD a commentary on Tusi's well-known work 'Tajrid' dealing with scholastic philosophy, Arabic manuscript on buff paper, 318ff. plus three flyleaves, each with 21ll. of fine black nasta'liq , some words overlined in red, gold margin between black rules, blue outer rule, marginal notes in black, (folios slightly trimmed, some light water-staining and spotting, a few folios loose from binding), opening folio with extemely finely illuminated heading in gold and polychrome around the bismillah in white on a gold lobed cartouche (blue faded on one side), final folio with colophon dated Dhu'l-Qa'da 944, brown morocco binding with stamped floral medallion and pendants (damaged and repaired), maroon morocco doublures folio 7½ x 4¼in. (19.1 x 10.8cm.) text 5 x 2½in. (12.7 x 6.4cm.)
