A PAIR OF DERBY WHITE PORCELAIN MODELS OF BOARS OF SO-CALLED 'DRY-EDGE' TYPE CIRCA 1750-54 Possibly modelled for Derby by Agostino Carlini RA (1718-1790) one modelled seated on its haunches, 13cm x 13cm; the other en passant, 11.5cm x 15.5cm Cf. A pair sold in these rooms, lot 90, 30th November 2022 for £16,000 hammer. Also a similar pair sold in March 2019 at Gorringe's for a hammer price £6000. These were from the renowned collection of Dennis G. Rice, one of the authorities on Derby porcelain. And at Bonhams, 22nd June 2022, lot 476, where a pair sold for £4,080 including premium.
