A 19th-Century lacquered-brass Gould-type botanist's microscope, signed on the pillar Cary LONDON , the tapering barrel threading into a limb atop the pillar with rack and pinion-adjusted stage and concave mirror, arranged to screw into a brass ferrule on the lid of the case, with three objectives, stage-mounted bull's-eye and forceps, live box, two ivory-handled scalpels, tweezers and two six-cell ivory sliders, in a plush-lined tray in mahogany case -- 13.9cm. (5½in.) wide ; an unsigned 19th-Century lacquered-brass Gould-type botanist's microscope, of similar but slightly larger design to the above, two objectives, stage-mounted bull's-eye and forceps and one four-cell ivory slider, in a plush-lined mahogany case -- 13.3cm. (5¼in.) wide ; and an attractive toy microscope with two objectives, in a fitted mahogany box -- 13cm. (5 1/8in.) wide (3)
