This is one of two cars campaigned with considerable success by Stadler Motorsport of Switzerland in their 1996 debut season when, with drivers Lilian Bryner and Enzo Calderari, they finished 4th in the European and 3rd in the World Endurance Championship. In 1997 the car finished 4th in the Sebring FIA-GT 4 Hours race before crashing at Laguna Seca. It was then rebuilt with a new factory chassis by Stadler Motorsport to be sold afterwards to the Swiss ‘Paillasse’ team. First outing for the rebuilt car was at Dijon in 1997 where it finished 6th, driven by Aimé Pouly and Philippe Favre. The car contested the French GT Championship in 1998, 1999 and finally 2000 when its drivers were Favre and Rolf Egger. The 1997 rebuild employed a genuine 911 GT2 Evo factory bodyshell and cost SFr 57,510. In July 2000 the four-speed gearbox was rebuilt in Switzerland by Marc de Siebenthal, this same specialist completely rebuilding the engine, including fitting new turbos, in June 2001, renovating and repainting the coachwork at the same time. Accompanying invoices for the gearbox, engine, bodywork and paint renovation total in excess of SFr 83,000. Presented in freshly rebuilt condition ready for a season's racing, it is offered with a Swiss Rapport d'Expertise Form 13.20A. Local taxes will be liable if the car remains in the EU.
