Beschreibung:

Launched at the Geneva Salon in March 1980, the luxurious 380SL convertible and the 380SLC coupe supplanted the outgoing 350 models and were produced alongside outwardly similar 280 and 500 equivalents. The running gear followed Mercedes-Benz’s established pattern, comprising all-independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes, while a new four-speed automatic transmission was standard equipment. Top speed was in excess of 130mph, with 60mph coming up in a little under 9 seconds. Although the 380SLC version was only built for the 1980 and 1981 seasons, during which time fewer than 4000 were made, the SL convertible remained a fixture of the Mercedes-Benz range until 1985. Finished in silver with blue cloth upholstery and equipped with factory hard and soft tops, we are informed that the soft top has been replaced at some point. Described as being in good condition in most respects, the specification of this car also includes ABS, power steering, and immobiliser. Always garaged in the current ownership, we understand that the electric window regulator to the driver’s door needs replacing, the cost for the part being £91. Offered for sale due to the owner’s new work commitments, 109,000 miles are recorded, this car coming with personal registration plate, Swansea V5, long MoT, and road tax until the end of the month.
