Offered for sale is a 5.3L 1973 Jaguar E-type Roadster manual that has been with the current owner for the last 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 107 / 135.
Classic Car Auctions says: An original right-hand drive manual Roadster, presented in British racing green with contrasting cream leather. Owned by the current vendor for some 10 years, this beautiful car we are informed has a Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirming matching engine and chassis numbers... First sold in Jersey in 1973, this car was then subsequently first registered in the UK in 1976. We are informed it underwent a total rebuild (body and engine) in 1996/97 by Derek Watson Jaguar specialist, with supporting bills and a photographic record to hand. Interestingly in the paperwork file there is a copy of a valuation certificate issued by Vicarage Ltd in 1997 stating " that this E-Type has been totally restored to the highest standard with many new (rather than reconditioned) parts. If this Jaguar was presented in a concourse event it would be placed very high indeed. We there for value this Jaguar at between £75,000 / £85,000." Milage at this time was showing 57,400. The car has only covered approx 3000 miles since then, as documented on MoT certificates. When off the road the car was stored in an Air Chamber until a few months ago.
