Beschreibung:

1964 FERRARI 330GT 2+2 Chassis No: 6235 Engine No: 6235 Dark red with black leather interior. Engine: 209 Series V12 single overhead camshaft per bank, 3,967cc, 300 bhp at 6,600rpm; Gearbox: four speed with overdrive; Brakes: four wheel disc; Suspension: independant front with wishbones and coil springs, semi-elliptic rear leaf springs with hydraulic shock absorbers. Left hand drive. The success of the 3 litre 250GTE 2+2 as Ferrari's first four seater GT car, introduced in 1962, was followed up by the introduction of a new 4 litre V12 engine. Called the 209 Series, this unit developed 300bhp and in January 1964 the all-new 330GT 2+2 was unveiled at the traditional "First of the Year" Ferrari press conference. Now the four speed, all-syncromesh gearbox had a modified Laycock overdrive on fourth gear to improve the car's long legged abilities, whilst aesthetically the most noticeable difference was the production of four headlamps which was to become the identifying feature on the first series 330GT. This 1964 example has standard coachwork painted dark red with black leather interior trim and red carpeting. Borrani wire wheels with triple-eared spinners are fitted. On a recent test drive the twelve cylinder engine performed well and the overdrive operates correctly. A pleasant point of interest is that the dashboard clock works and keeps good time! The car has been in its present private ownership since 1988 and has been regularly maintained during this period. The indicated mileage is just under 98,000kms. It comes with Swiss registration documents.
