1868-1959, a fine and valuable collection, the majority of which has been written up to exhibition standard, including 1868 unfranked cover to Dhar showing faint rectangular framed "GOA" h.s. in violet, India/Portuguese India combination covers (6) and pieces (5); a good range of first type stamps including 1873-75 used values to 900r., 1877 200r. yellow, 600r. purple mint with some gum, also covers (3) with 1876 from Pangim to Margao bearing 20r. showing octagonal framed "CHEGOU/TARDE" h.s. on reverse, also multiples and cancellations (some on pieces), 1877 Crown Issue mint values to 300r. including 40r. blue block of eleven, also two 1885 covers (2, both bearing 6r. green), Crown surcharge issues with values to 8T. on 300r. including complete sheets of twenty-eight of the 1½T. on 10r. and 4T. on 10r. values, surcharge errors, 1882 New Currency, 1886 King Luis, later provisional and bisects including a few covers; also first flight covers or cards (4) comprising 1931 (13.4) cover and card sent on the Bombay-Goa flight by Major Lopes, 1932 (26.2) Goa-Bombay and return (same day). An excellent basis for further specialised expansion. (many hundreds)
