Yakov Khaimov (Russian, 1914-1991) RECLINING NUDE, 1939 Signed with initials l.r., inscribed verso, oil on canvas 40 x 60cm Khaimov studied at the Moscow Art Academy during the late 1930s and early 1940s. He specialised in genre paintings and, landscapes and was active in Uzbekistan and Moscow and a member of the USSR Union of Artists. His paintings were widely exhibited and acquired by the museums worldwide.
