A WWII Second World War Third Reich Nazi German Kriegsmarine BEH 7x 50 Naval Binoculars. Binoculars are marked to the left plate: " beh 342166 (T) KF " - to the right plate displaying the eagle and swastika symbol of the Nazi Party, also known as their Parteiadler - marked " M 24714 N ". During the 1940's three letter codes were used as the German Government tried to hide the names of the factories still in production. They issued every factory with a unique code which was engraved on the instrument instead of the makers name and location. Leitz ( Leica ) is beh. (T) for "Transparenzbelag" means transparency coating. KF for "Kälte-Fett" means cold fat. "M" for marine and "N" for North Sea.
