7.65mm (.32 ACP) caliber, 3.375" barrel, S/N 430887. Blue finish, homemade walnut grips, Nazi proofs on slide, frame, and triggerguard. Housed in a leather CZ Model 27 military holster dated 1941. Included is a notarized letter from the consignor and a receipt showing this gun was purchased from Lt. Gen. James Vaught, who "liberated" it from a German house in 1946. Second Lieutenant James Vaught initially served in Germany with the Army of Occupation as platoon leader and then as Commanding Officer, 820th Military Police Company, from April 1946 through April 1948, and finally as an infantry platoon leader in the Big Red One stationed in Bamberg, Germany from May 1948 to August 1949. General Vaught's personal .45 Cal. Automatic General Officer's pistol, Serial Number GO 127, is offered elsewhere in the catalog (Lot 440), sold with complete documentation. Condition: Very good condition with an excellent bore. This gun retains ca 97% of an added high quality refinish.
