WW2 British RAF Bomber KIA medal group to Sergeant Frank Charles Diggle of Nottingham. Comprising of 1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star and War Medal. Complete in original box of issue with award slip, RAF slips, all medals in packets of issue with ribbons. Plus a Silver 1939 Canadian 1 Dollar Coin. Sgt Diggle was a Rear Air Gunner in a Lancaster flying with 550 Squadron RAF. He was killed in a raid to Berlin on the night of Nov 26th/27th 1943. He was not due to fly but took the place of a member of the regular crew of Lancaster LM379 who was sick.
