Williams (Charles). Boney Bothered or an Unexpected Meeting, July 9th, Thos. Tegg, 1808, etched caricature with bright contemporary hand-colouring, slight marginal soiling, 345 x 245 mm, together with Cruikshank (Isaac). Billy a Cock-Horse or the Modern Colossus amusing himself, S. W. Fores March 8th 1797, etched caricature with bright contemporary hand-colouring (after James Gillray), slight marginal soiling, 280 x 225 mm, with Nixon (John). Madame Very Restaurateur, Palais Royal Paris [and] La Belle Liminaudiere au Caffee de Mille Collone, Palais Royale Paris. circa 1814, two etched caricatures after Thomas Rowlandson on one sheet (as published) both with bright contemporary hand-colouring, slight marginal soiling, overall size 350 x 250 mm, plus Cruikshank (Isaac). The Kentish Hop merchant and the Lecturer on Optics!!, Thomas Tegg [1809], an etched caricature (after George Woodward) bright contemporary hand-colouring, slight marginal soiling, 245 x 350 mm, and Frey (George). La Politique du Marais..., circa 1828, lithograph with contemporary hand colouring showing an old maid reading a newspaper whilst leaning on a map of Spain & Portugal (The Map Collector Spring 1991 issue 59, page 52), some staining and dust soiling, slight marginal fraying, 330 x 250 mm, with Heath (Henry). Nothing Extenuate nor aught set down in Malice, H. Fores, 28th August 1827, etched caricature with contemporary hand colouring (the title being Othello's dying words) a satire on the excesses of female fashion, trimmed to the plate mark, 370 x 250 mm, with another five caricatures by or after William Heath, Charles Williams and H. Bunbury, various sizes, good condition (Quantity: 11)
