Three signed "Bill Dawson" l.r., Undated unsigned. Ink and graphite on paper, sheet sizes to 16 3/4 x 15 in. (42.5 x 38.0 cm), unframed. Condition: Staining, soiling, nicks and small tears to edges, foxing, handling creases; 100 Years with tears at edges; 94 Years with glue residue and whiting. Provenance: Through the estate of the artist to the present owner. N.B. Bill Dawson was a cartoonist for The Troy Record in Troy, New York. The lot is accompanied by photocopies of biographical material about the artist from Today's Cartoon by John Churchill Chase and of the Grandma Moses cartoon published in the September 7, 1960, edition of The Troy Record.
