Upon close examination in high raking light, a few scattered tiny deposits of original retouching are visible in the lower left portion of the image, as well as a faint linear deposit to the left of O'Keeffe's head. There are small linear impressions in the lower margins. 'Print #1, 14 7/8 x 18 7/8', 'Mat and Overmat 24 x 28' and 'Rising White 4 ply' are written in pencil on the mount. There is an area of dark, horizontal crayon markings on the reverse of the mount.
