Bauhaus Tea and coffee service designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld and Gerhard Marcks Manufactured by Schott & Gen. and Jenaer Glas. The tea and coffee service consists of 1 “Sintrax” (sintering + extract) coffee brewer, 1 teapot, 12 coffee cups, 12 tea cups, 24 saucers and 12 dessert dishes. (62) All parts are stamped Schott & Gen. and / or Jenaer Glass etc. and manufactured after 1949. The coffee brewer is designed by Gerhard Marcks at the Bauhaus school, Weimar in 1924, but was redesigned by Wilhelm Wagenfeld in 1931. The same year Wagenfeld designed the tea service and the rest of the service for the company Schott & Gen. The company Schott & Gen. (Glastechnische Laboratorium Schott & Genossen) was founded by Otto Schott together with Dr. Ernst Abbe and Carl Zeiss in 1884 in Jena. During the period 1887–1893 Schott created the glass sort, which the coffee brewer and tea pot are made of.
The coffee pot top container has a smaller chip.
