WESTERN ASIATIC NEO BABYLONIAN CYLINDER SEAL WITH WINGED GAZELLES AND TWO ISHARA SCORPIONS 800-539 BC A red carnelian cylinder seal with with two winged gazelles in an antithetical pose and two scorpions, the scorpion was from late Kassite times the associated animal of Išḫara, the goddess of love and war (like Ištar/Inana), also she is associated with extispicy, or else appears to be a mother goddess. 1.24 grams, 13mm (1/2").
