Lot of 15. ANS, re: shipping an order of whiskey, Gilt Edge, Montana, 20 Jan. 1899. On letterhead of The Silver Dollar Saloon, "Fine Wines, Good Liquors and The Very Best Brands of Cigars." With logo of a silver dollar. To Bateman & Switzer, Great Falls, MT. Two checks from the Banking House of L.H. Hershfield & Bro., Helena, MT. 8 Dec. 1974 and 8 June 1875. Wonderful graphic of a miner and dog. Territorial Warrant, Territory of Montana, County of Lewis & Clark, Helena, 31 March 1884. Payment by the county of $365.50 "Bounty for killing 14 Bears, 14 Mountain Lions, 84 Wolves, and 115 Coyotes." 4.25 x 8.75 in. Same graphic of miner and dog as the banking house checks (above). Three pages from Police Court in Granite County, City of Philipsburg, Montana. First dated 4 Apr. 1903, charges Inez Murray with prostitution, her bail forfeited when she failed to appear in court. On verso, Jennie Gray is also charged with prostitution and her bail forfeited. Second dated May 2, 1904 is another charge of prostitution for Jennie Gray, her bail forfeited again for failure to appear. On verso, bail was forfeited for Ed Ryan, charged with running a poker game, for failure to show for court. Third page dated 16 Aug. 1904. Carrin Jackson was charged with prostitution and also failed to appear in court, forfeiting her bail. On verso, Charles Bagley, also charged with running a poker game, forfeited his bail when he failed to appear. All signed John S. Axtell, Police Judge. Three documents from Justice Court of Boulder Township, Jefferson County, Montana. The first is dated 26 Dec. 1894 against one Frank Williams for threatening to harm another man. Second is dated 20 August 1894 against Ah Sivy for "drawing & exhibiting a deadly weapon not in necessary self defense." Third is dated 30 April 1897 against Moses Beauchamp for assault in the first degree. Signed D.G. Warner, J.P. Two documents are from the Probate Court, Jefferson County, Territory of Montana. First, dated 25 May 1889, charges "John Doe whose real name is unknown nd other persons whose names are unknown" with horse theft. Second, dated 4 Feb. 1889, charges John w. Clark with "Exhibiting a deadly weapon." Both signed J.H. Fisk, Probate Judge. Bench Warrant, District Court, County of Jefferson, Territory of Montana. 13 March 1889. Charging James Hogan with furnishing intoxicating liquor to a minor. Bail was set at $500. ADS, Deer Lodge, Montana, 12 Nov. 1883, on United States Penitentiary letterhead. Notification to Territorial Auditor that convict William H. King, sentenced to 15 years for 2nd degree murder, had been delivered to the prison. List of prisoners in the prison at Deer Lodge, M.T. and their support for the month of August 1887. 130 Montana Territory prisoners and 11 United States prisoners lsited.
