During the summer of 2019, Anderson was the first artist in residence at Il DeCameron Club House Hotel, Odessa, Ukraine, where she exhibited a series of drawings made during her extensive travels and continued to make new works during the residency. About the postcard artworks The postcards submitted are works made alongside a large group of current drawings I have been making since lockdown. I am lucky that my studio is in my home, which has made it easy to continue making work during lockdown, but having said that, spending so much at home, my studio activity has changed. The most important change has been more time to reflect and most importantly having time to remember. My works are informed by many years of travel, these memories have re-entered in a clearer and more pronounced sense, due to being house bound and not being able to travel. Much of my time I sit at my drawing table, looking out across the street at the windows and doors of my neighbours.
