The wall map of the United States extending from the eastern seaboard west to Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, and Texas, inset for southern Florida, marking both Tampa and Miami, the map marking the steamship routes into New York from both Liverpool and California/Oregon via Nicaragua. Laid down on modern linen, new rollers, some light staining. The map includes details of the steamship routes into New York from Liverpool and on to California and Oregon via an overland Nicaraguan trek (no Panama Canal) presumably to assist gold rush emigrants. A rare wall map not in Rumsey, Worldcat noting 4 examples in Institutions.
