A band chief of the Kotsoteka (Buffalo Eater) band of Comanche, the grizzly bear claw worn in his hair was from an animal that Mow-way had killed with a knife when it had attacked him. The knuckle joint of the claw is decorated with a brass upholstery tack. Condition: Two ink stains right side, light wear/soiling, bent lower right corner.
