The several treatises in this edition do not follow the order given in the title, but the collation corresponds with BMC and BSB-Ink. With the Vitruvius the work includes two brief literary studies by Angelo Poliziano, who edited Alberti's De re aedificatoria (Florence, 1485) and like the first edition (see previous lot) Frontinus' study of aqueducts. VERY RARE: according to American Book Prices Current, only two imperfect copies of the second edition have sold at auction (1980, lacking 6 leaves, and 1962, lacking 22 leaves) in the past 75 years.
