Also, Pietzcker’s official rubberstamp on verso. Two legendary American golfing greats, Bobby Jones and the 1913 U.S. Open winner Francis Ouimet. Both are wearing USGA contestant badges, which confirms that this photo had to be taken at a U.S. Open or an amateur tournament. Note: Also confirms that this photo is no later than 1930 since that is the last year Jones competed in an official tournament and players only wear these badges during such events. Pietzcker is best known for his golf photography, much of which can be seen in Rand Jerris' recent book, Golf's Golden Age: Bobby Jones and the Legendary Players of the 20's and 30's, of which Pietzcker is credited as the photographer.
