Vienna (du Paquier) Porcelain Partial Condiment Set and Stand Circa 1735-40 Finely enameled in colors with deutsche-Blumen peony and chrysanthemum bouquets and scattered sprays, including: two slender faceted shield-shaped cruets with tall scroll handles; two vasi-form vessels with tapering necks and bulbous lower section; two open shaped-oval salts; and a centerpiece formed as a figure with arms raised, wearing a reticulated top hat and a collared jacket with tasseled epaulettes, the bulbous body open on both sides, the lobed base pierced with four square fitments molded and applied with acanthus leaf terminals; all set on a shaped-oblong plateau stand, with six paw feet. Height of centerpiece 9 1/2 inches, height of cruets 6 1/4 inches, height of vessels 4 1/2 inches, height of salt 1 1/2 inches, length of stand 17 inches. Provenance: The Wetmore Estate, Newport, RI. Set incomplete. Professional restoration to figure's hat, hand and opposite shoulder, the hairline extending diagonally to the waist, cleanly stabilized Y-shaped crack across the tray, glaze line to one paw foot, another reattached, one cruet with restored replacement handle, cracks to the other, it's spout with a restored section and associated hairlines, one vessel with stapled repair to the base, the salt a restored chip to the footrim.
