A Victorian parlor display consisting of a wicker basket filled with wax fruit and decorated with painted cork flowers and foliage, set on a round giltwood base with doilies, glasses and other bowls of fruit. All under a glass dome; oah. 18.5 in. The piece was owned by the consignor's great-aunt, born in 1847, and descended in the family. Condition: Some pieces loose and detached. Base chipped and missing some pieces. Some detached giltwood pieces are present. Item is extremely fragile and will be sold as is.
