Initials in blue with red, green or violet decoration, smaller initials and paragraph marks in red. (Lacks all woodcuts, some staining, mostly marginal, washed, a few small wormholes.) Early 19th-century red straight-grained morocco gilt, brown glazed endpapers, gilt edges (edges rubbed). Provenance : Syston Park (bookplate) - W.F. Spikes (receipt of purchase from Francis Edwards, 1970). FIRST EDITION IN ITALIAN. HC 15849; BMC VII, 952; Klebs 1015.1; Goff V-90.
