Brožík" on bottom right. Several labels with the mark and seal of Brožík's French estate on the back. Originally in the collection of Charles Sedelmeyer, the artist's father-in-law. One of many studies created for Brožík's eponymous large canvas (500 x 730 cm). The painting on offer has the identical composition of the final large version cited above, only at a smaller scale.
