Wilson in Dame-Street, 1772; and a copy of The Memoirs of Signor Gaudentio di Lucca, large 12mo (3) ⁂ Mercier's hugely popular Utopian fantasy, first published in 1770, in which the narrator falls asleep after debating with a friend about the injustices of Paris to awake to a Paris of the future in which there are no priests, prostitutes, beggars, slavery, taxes and (curiously) pastry chefs.
