Late 18th/19th century Comprising nine kakejiku: seven with hashira-e prints mounted on to kakejiku, consisting of two bijin-ga by Kuniyoshi, two by Eizan, one by the Utamaro School, one by Chikayoshi, one depicting shichifukujin by Shuncho, variously published and variously signed; two paintings by Japanese-style artists, both in ink and colour on silk, consisting of one possibly depicting the warrior Minamoto no Yoshimitsu playing a sho (a mouth organ) in front of a nobleman, signed Chokusai gashi, the other depicting a kannyo (a lady working for the Imperial household), signed with seal. The smallest 57.2cm x 10.5cm (22½in x 4 1/8in), the largest 100cm x 35.5cm (39 3/8in x 14in). (9).
