The album originally belonged to Paul M. Warburg, an investment banker and early advocate of the U.S. Federal Reserve System. Toned silver prints, the images measuring approximately 7 1/2x11 inches (19.1x27.9 cm.), and the reverse, mounted recto only, all but one with a caption in the negative (the last with a caption on the mount). Oblong folio, the gilt-lettered title and "Mr. Paul M. Warburg" on the front cover; with an inscription and date on the first page, in ink. 1916
