(8vo) maroon cloth, gilt spine, printed dust jacket. Light wear to jacket with some darkening to spine, a few miniscule chips at head of spine, light wear to cloth; a solid copy, very good. One of 1600 copies. First Edition. London: Macmillan and Co., 1938. On the Boiler. Cover illustration by Jack Yeats. Tall wraps. Wear to wraps with small chips and closed tears to edges; very good. Considered the second printing, though the first printing “was rejected by Mrs. Yeats and destroyed with the exception of about four copies” – Miller, p.122, No.4. Dublin, Ireland: Cuala Press, [1939] The Cuala Press was an Irish private press set up in 1908 by Elizabeth Yeats with support from her brother, William Butler Yeats, that played an important role in the Celtic Revival of the early 20th century.
