TWO SWISS VARI-COLOUR GOLD ÉTUIS AND A LOUIS XVI THREE-COLOUR GOLD ÉTUI Slightly tapering four-colour gold needle-case of octagonal section, the cover and sides engine-turned with horizontal reeding stamped with bouquets and pellets, the sablé borders chased with four-colour gold trailing foliage, the lid faceted, the matrix blank, by Jean-Joseph Isaac Bellamy, marked, Geneva, circa 1780/1800, later struck with two French post-1893 import marks for gold; together with a slightly tapering four-colour gold needle-case of octagonal section, the cover and base engine-turned with vertical reeding stamped with ropework secured with flowerheads, the sablé borders chased with four-colour gold trailing foliage, the domed lid and edges of the base engine-turned with money pattern, the removable matrix engraved with initial 'D', by Sené & François Detalla, marked, Geneva, circa 1800, with the French provincial gold mark for small works 1798-1809, and two further marks; together with a slightly tapering needle-case of octagonal section, the cover and sides of fluted polished gold, the sablé borders chased with two-colour gold ovolos, scrolling foliage, and trailing laurel, by Clément Dupont (fl. 1788-1807), marked, Paris, 1789/1792, with the charge and discharge marks of Jean-François-Kalendrin 1789-1792 4 1/8 in. (105 mm.) high; 3½ in. (89 mm.); 4 3/16 in. (106 mm.) high, respectively 7/8 oz. (24 gr.); ¾ oz. (22 gr.); ¾ oz. (22 gr.) respectively (3)
