An album with 32 Photochrome photographs of sites in the country, including Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, the Jordan River, the Dead Sea, Tiberias and more, alongside with pressed flowers and plants. The photographs are titled in English, French, German, Italian, Russian, Greek and Arabic. Bound in an olive-wood binding; on one side of the binding is a carved Jerusalem cross. On the other side - the word "Jerusalem" is printed within a colorful frame consisting of inlaid small pieces of wood. The album has no title page. A dedication written by hand (in English) appears on the front endpaper, noting that the album was prepared in 1876 and was given as a gift in 1941. [32] leaves, 28.5X22.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains. Some parts of the flowers are detached or lacking. Slight creases to corners of leaves. Some tears. One board of the binding is detached and the other board is loose. Fractures to binding. Cloth spine, unraveled and torn. 2. Album Souvenir de la Palestine [Souvenir album from Palestine], edited by N. de Simini, Jerusalem, [ca. early 20th century]. 24 photographs of towns and sites around the country, titled in English, French, German, Italian, Russian, Greek and Arabic.
