TWO PORCELAIN VESSELSCovered box: Qianlong seal mark, Republic period; Water coupe: Yongzheng seal mark, 20th century
Comprising an ingot-shaped box and cover, the cover centered by a shaped panel painted in famille-rose enamels with a bird perched atop a rockwork in a garden, framed by a millefleur border repeated at the sides of the cover and box, the base of the box with an apocryphal seal mark in iron red; and a 'clair de lune'-glazed waterpot with a globular body and an applied chilong at the shoulder, the base with an apocryphal seal mark in underglaze blue.
