TWO PORCELAIN GROUPS OF A HUNTSMAN AND A PAIR OF CHILDREN by the Popov Porcelain Factory, Moscow, 19th century Both realistically modelled, the first of a seated huntsman with his dog, a gun resting against a tree-trunk and a dead grouse at his feet, on a shaped rectangular naturalistic base with gilt rim; the second group depicting a boy and a girl walking barefoot and with their hands linked under a canopy of the girl's skirt blown by the wind, on a circular base with moulded gilt scroll rim, both marked under bases with incised, blue underglaze Cyrillic monogram 'AP', the first additionally incised with Cyrillic 'D' The first 5¾ in. (14.5 cm.) high; the second 6½ in. (16.5 cm.) high (2)
