TWO PALE GREENISH-WHITE JADE CARVINGS MING DYNASTY (1368-1644) One is a deep cup carved on one side with a confronted dragon and phoenix and on the reverse with two chilong , all between a pair of dragon-form handles. The other is an archaistic scabbard slide carved on the front with C-scrolls and at one end with a taotie mask. Together with a grey stone or hardstone court headdress, Ming dynasty, carved with seven prominent ribs above a lower band carved in front with a ruyi motif and pierced at each end with a small hole for the insertion of a hairpin; and a large green jade archaistic bi disc. Cup 5½ in. (14 cm.) wide with handles; scabbard slide 4 9/16 in. (11.5 cm.) long; headdress 3 in. (7.7 cm.) wide; bi 5 5/8 in. (14.3 cm.) diam., box and wood stand (4)
