1. Silver medal, made in honor of Prof. Richard Willstätter (1872-1942), Jewish-German professor of organic chemistry, winner of the Nobel Prize. Obverse: Relief of Willstätter's portrait. Signed: H. Hahn. Reverse: Dedication in German: Richard Willstätter in Dankbarkeit v Seinen Schuelern [Richard Willstätter, with appreciation from his students]. Diameter: 48 mm. 2. Medal made in honor of Paul Ehrlich (1854-1915), Jewish-German scientist, Nobel Prize winner, known for his research in the fields of hematology, immunology and chemotherapy. [German, 1910]. Maker: Karl Goetz. Obverse: Ehrlich's portrait surrounded by an inscription: "Paul Ehrlich Aetatis Anno Lui MCMX". Reverse: Figure of a man; the body encircled by a snake sipping from a bowl held by the man. On both sides appears a Latin inscription: "corpora non agunt nisi fixate" [a sentence made famous by Ehrlich in one of his works]. Diameter: 59 mm. Contained in a fine box.
