Two large advertising posters from 1939, one for Kelly's Garage in Hudson, WI, the other for R.N. Motor Co. out of Minneapolis, MN. Both feature a lavish color print of Earl Moran's "Smooth Sailing." Beneath the illustration on each poster is a calendar page for a single month of the respective year. Earl Moran was a popular 20th-century pin-up and glamor artist. Moran signed an exclusive contract with Brown and Bigelow in 1932, and by 1937, his pinups had sold millions of calendars for the company. Scarce pair of posters by a master of the genre.
