TWO GEORGE III SILVER MEAT-SKEWERS, A FRENCH SILVER MEAT SKEWER AND AN EDWARD VII SILVER LETTER-OPENER MARK OF THOMAS NORTHCOTE, LONDON, 1778, MARKS RUBBED, CIRCA 1800; MARK OF GUSTAVE KELLER, PARIS, LATE 19TH CENTURY AND LONDON, 1908 Each of typical from, one engraved with initials 'LL' below a Royal princess' coronet with the dates '1871-1896' 13 oz. (415 gr.) The initials are for Princess Louise Marchioness of Lorne, later Duchess of Argyll (1848-1939), fourth daughter of Queen Victoria (1837-1901) and wife of John, Marquess of Lorne, later 9th Duke of Argyll (1845-1914). The inscription celebrates their silver wedding. (4)
