Two Chinese jade ox mask and chilong bi discs. Probably late 19th/20th century. The first bi disc carved in a Western Han dynasty style is decorated in shallow relief on both sides with a central aperture surrounded by an inner ring depicting a field of comma spirals enclosed within a single rope twist border and surrounded by an outer ring consisting of four equidistant ox masks, the stone of a partially translucent green tone with brown flecks throughout. The second bi disc is decorated in shallow relief on both sides with a central aperture surrounded by an inner ring depicting a field of comma spirals enclosed within a single rope twist border and surrounded by an outer ring consisting of five equidistant chilongs with heads turned backwards running anti-clockwise, the stone of a translucent green and brown tone. 4.4 in (11.3 cm) diameter, 4.3 in (10.8 cm) diameter.
